Emotional Support Visits for Seniors

​​​The social and emotional care that I provide is individualized based on the unique needs of the senior. Home visits range in tone from a friendly social visit to prevent loneliness and isolation, to a more serious visit that gives the senior the opportunity to review their lives and prepare for end of life. The SENIOR drives my intervention. The visits are usually some combination of the above. Spiritual coaching may be offered if the senior finds this useful and comforting. The senior is encouraged to engage in behavioral practices to maximize their mental health and are provided with tools to help them cope with common mental health issues in the senior population including:  depression, anxiety, lonlieness, isolation and grief.​​​​​​​​​​​​

​Coaching, Support and Education for Caregivers and Loved Ones​

If you have a senior in your life, you may feel some challenges associated with living with, caring for and/or communicating with your aging loved one. We can get stretched thin and struggle with frustration, guilt, fear and anger. I provide education and coaching for caregivers and loved ones who need support with problem-solving, boundaries, communication, self-care, grief and planning for the future.

Communication Liasion for Families

Sometimes we don't live near our senior loved one, or conflicts from the past impede communication. Having a caring visitor trained in Mental Health who sees your loved one regularly and can convey their needs or any concerns to you, is the difference between feeling totally out of the loop and feeling totally plugged in. With my help, you can provide emotional support to your senior, even at a distance. And sometimes, you can even heal some old wounds.
